Macaroni with full of nutrients
Ingredients
Following are the basic ingredients which should be easily available inside your kitchen
- 125 grams: Macaroni
- 2 Tablespoon: Oil
- 1 Tomato: Fine chopped
- 1 Onion: Fine chopped
- 1 Green Chilli: Fine chopped
- 1/2 Tablespoon: Ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 Tablespoon: Black pepper powder
- 1/4 Tablespoon: Tumeric powder
- 1/4 Tablespoon: Garam masala
- 1/4 Tablespoon: Kashmiri mirch
- 1/4 Tablespoon: Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon: Tomato catchup
- Salt: As per taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare ingredients as mentioned in above list.
Step 2: In a pan, heat 3 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Bring it to a boil.
Step 3: Add 1 heaped cup of macaroni or elbow macaroni (125 grams macaroni).
Step 4: Stir with a fork.
Step 5: Begin to cook macaroni on medium to medium-high heat.
Step 6: Cook macaroni till they are al dente – meaning they should have a slight bite to them.
Step 7: Drain all the water and keep cooked macaroni aside.
Step 8: Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Lower the heat. You can also add 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste.
Step 9: Sauté till the garlic is light brown.
Step 10: Next add 1/3 cup finely chopped onions (about 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped).
Step 11: Stir and mix well. Begin to sauté onions on a medium-low heat stirring often. Saute till the onions become translucent.
Step 12: Then add 1 cup of tightly packed finely chopped tomatoes. Mix well.
Step 13: Cook tomatoes on a low to medium-low heat till they soften and become pulpy.
Step 14: Now add all the spice powders one by one as mention above in ingredients. Mix and sauté the spice powders for some seconds till you get a nice aroma from the spice powders.
Step 16: Season with salt as per taste. Mix very well.
Step 17: Once the vegetables are cooked and tender, add the cooked macaroni. Some gravy or curry or sauce will be there when you add the macaroni. Mix well.
Step 18: On a low to medium-low heat simmer for a few more minutes till all the water is absorbed. Stir at intervals.
Step 19: Mix again. Add the seasonings and herbs and add more salt if required.
Step 20: Garnish the macaroni with some finely chopped coriander leaves before serving.
